The Patriots Cemetery in the port city of Massawa was renovated through popular undertaking by members of Musa Ali Construction Company and 850 residents in connection with Martyrs Day. Massawa, 21 June 2012 – The Patriots Cemetery in the port city of Massawa was renovated through popular undertaking by members of Musa Ali Construction Company and 850 residents in connection with Martyrs Day.
Mr. Yasin Idris and Mr. Girmai Gebremedhin, staff members of the construction company, expressed satisfaction with the task and said that they are as ever ready to work hard for the realization of the nation’s development, and thereby fulfill their pledge to honor the trust of martyrs.
Mr. Tesfalidet Beyene, head of machinery department in the company, said that the accomplishment of the task involves moral satisfaction, and lauded the active participation of EDF members in the popular undertaking.
Among the city residents, Ms. Fatina Seid and Mr. Mohammed Zekri, explained that the active popular participation demonstrated on the occasion attests to their high respect to the fallen heroes.
Ms. Fana Tesfamariam, Mayor of Massawa, commended members of Musa Ali Construction Company and the city residents for the initiative they took.
Meanwhile, the popular campaign was extended to renovating both sides of Edaga Highway and undertaking afforestation activities on the Salina plains.
