Inhabitants of Afabet conducting water and soil conservation campaign

The inhabitants of Afabet in a water and soil conservation campaign they undertook renovated ten kilometers of water diversion schemes and are constructing more than six kilometer traces, Mr. Saleh Belai, head of economic affairs of the town indicated.

Afabet, 24 June 2012- The inhabitants of Afabet in a water and soil conservation campaign undertook renovated ten kilometers of water diversion schemes and are constructing more than six kilometer traces, Mr. Saleh Belai, head of economic affairs of the town indicated.

He told Erina that the inhabitants are enthusiastically participating in the campaign in an organized manner.

Mr. Mohammed Sheik Husein, administrator of the eastern area of the town, expressed that the inhabitants have conducted different major activities through popular campaigns and that the activity is ongoing.

Mr. Ibrahim Abelai who said that working through popular campaigns has become the culture of the people underlined that they would reinforce their participation for the success of development programs.

Ms. Fereja Ahmed on her part said that the activities they are conducting through popular campaigns are for their benefit and called on every citizen to strengthen unity and be prepared for any eventuality.
