Call made for women in Anseba region to raise awareness as regards health and law

The NUEW’s branch in Anseba region called on women in Anseba region to raise awareness regarding health and law. Halhal, 30 June 2012 – The NUEW’s branch in Anseba region called on women in Anseba region to raise awareness regarding health and law.

In a seminar she conducted in the semi-urban center of Halhal, Ms. Asha Ali-Nur, head of the branch office, called on women in the region to play an influential role in raising popular awareness regarding child immunization and environmental hygiene, besides control of communicable diseases. She also explained that the Union is exerting integrated endeavors in this regard, including maternity-oriented seminars to women, in collaboration with the pertinent bodies.

Ms. Tsion Ogbamichael, head of social service department in the branch office, called on women in the region to mount participation in political, economic and cultural affairs.

The participants of the seminar put forth views pertaining to different issues.
