Inhabitants of Erafaile Administrative area laud the contribution made by Fishermen’s Association

The inhabitants of Erafaile Administrative area, Massawa sub-zone, lauded the Fishermen’s Association for making commendable supply. Indicating that the Association has been expanding its supply, they voiced conviction that it has presently ensured ample fish supply in the area along with employment opportunities. Massawa, 6 July 2012 – The inhabitants of Erafaile Administrative area, Massawa sub-zone, lauded the Fishermen’s Association for making commendable supply. Indicating that the Association has been expanding its supply, they voiced conviction that it has presently ensured ample fish supply in the area along with employment opportunities.

Mr. Tahir Nur Ali and Mr. Abdalla Geas, members of the Association, said that it has enabled them to exploit marine resources effectively.

Mr. Idris Mahmoud, chairman of the Association, stated that the Association was founded in 1994 with the ownership of one boat, and that it presently has 70 boats and 400 permanent as well as contractual employees.

Mr. Saleh Ibrahim, Administrator of Erafaile Administrative area, commended the Association’s input in the fish market.
