465 graduate from Halhale College of Business and Economics in degree and diploma

A total of 465 students graduated in degree and diploma from Halhale College of Business and Economics (HCBE) in the fields of Marketing, Economics, Management and Finance.

Halhale, 9 July 2012 – A total of 465 students graduated in degree and diploma from Halhale College of Business and Economics (HCBE) in the fields of Marketing, Economics, Management and Finance.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony in Halhale, Ms. Askalu Menkerios, Minister of Tourism, noted that the Government has been making substantial investment with a view to reinforcing professional capacity in all domains, and called on members of the graduating batch to translate into deeds their pledge to back up national development programs.

Dr. Yemane Misgina, Dean of the College, stated that it has been stepping up efforts as regards nurturing youths that are equipped with knowledge and professionalism. He further indicated that 19 staff members of the College have been sent overseas to pursue Masters and Ph.D. studies, and thereby fill the gap for lecturers.

A representative of the graduating batch commended the Government’s prioritized investment for the development of human capital, and said that they would serve the people with dedication.

The HCBE which was founded in 2004 yesterday graduated the fifth batch which comprises 195 degree and 270 diploma holders, 35% of whom are females.
