Needy children in Mendefera sub-zone obtain training

The Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare’s branch in the Southern region organized a one-year training course to needy children in Mendefera sub-zone. Mendefera, 10 July 2012 – The Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare’s branch in the Southern region organized a one-year training course to needy children in Mendefera sub-zone.

Indicating that the training was organized with a view to creating a basis for needy children to witness a bright future, Ms. Tsige Bariagabir, head of the Ministry’s branch in Mendefera sub-zone, said that the children have also been provided with various types of assistance. She went on to say that the children are in a position to demonstrate mastery of the profession they have acquired.

Among the trainees, Abel Niguse and Dawit Hailu, voiced conviction that they would improve their livelihood through their new careers of welding and auto mechanics respectively. Parents of the children on their part lauded the Government’s commitment to improve the livelihood of the citizenry.

Mr. Nati Ibrahim, head of the Ministry’s regional branch office, called on the beneficiaries of the training to supplement the knowledge they have acquired with experience, and for parents to extend support towards enhancing the children’s production capacity.
