Sport teachers selected from the Gash-Barka towns of Tesenei, Agordat and Haikota attended a practical and theoretical training course. Beneficiaries of the training are expected to coach 6 to 12 years-old children effectively, the process of which is believed to be demanding substantial effort. Barentu, 11 July 2012 – Sport teachers selected from the Gash-Barka towns of Tesenei, Agordat and Haikota attended a practical and theoretical training course. Beneficiaries of the training are expected to coach 6 to 12 years-old children effectively, the process of which is believed to be demanding substantial effort.
A representative of the trainees commended the regional Administration, the National Football Federation and the regional Commission of Sports for organizing such a vital course. Indicating that the sports teachers used to pursue traditional approach of coaching before they got to know the scientific techniques, he asserted that they would strive to nurture competent children in various sports domains.
Stating that the training was given for the first time, Col. Kibreab Abraha, Sports Commissioner of Gash-Barka region, called on the beneficiaries to translate into deeds the knowledge they have acquired.
Similarly, Mr. Rezene Abraha, head of administration and finance in the region, called on the teachers to lay stress on the power of charisma, and thereby be productive in their career.
