Barentu, 14 July 2012 – A number of passengers voiced satisfaction with the construction of a shortcut road in Karkasha mountainous area, which has been causing problems along the Barentu-Shambuko line.

Stating that the road in Karkasha area was awkward, Mr. Sadusa Khelil Mohammed and Mr. Saleh Seid said that the new road in the area is altogether convenient and well-situated.

Mr. Abdulkadir Faid, driver, and Mr. Haile Abdalla on their part expressed conviction that the renovation of Barentu-Shambuko road is significant as it is strategically important link between the Southern and Gash-Barka regions, and commended the Government’s commitment pertaining to the development of infrastructure.
