Rain-fed farming activities are being effectively carried out in Gerset Agricultural Project. Mr. Mulubrahan Tesfai from the project pointed out that a total of 12,000 hectares have been cultivated with sorghum and a variety of oil crops since the onset of the current rainy season.

Mr. Mulubrahan Tesfai from the project pointed out that a total of 12,000 hectares have been cultivated with sorghum and a variety of oil crops since the onset of the current rainy season.
Stating that such investment is vital in promoting food security, he indicated that the task already got momentum thanks to the active youth participation being witnessed. Mr. Mulubrahan also explained that more than 6,000 different seedlings of fruits have flourished well through irrigation farming.
