Goluj sub-zone: NUEW exerting endeavors to improve livelihood of members

The National Union of Eritrean Women’s branch in Goluj sub-zone is exerting endeavors with a view to improving the livelihood of its members through loan benefit. The beneficiaries asserted that they could significantly improve their economic capability on the basis of the program, besides the knowledge they have acquired pertaining to utilization of the money. Goluj, 19 July 2012 – The National Union of Eritrean Women’s branch in Goluj sub-zone is exerting endeavors with a view to improving the livelihood of its members through loan benefit. The beneficiaries asserted that they could significantly improve their economic capability on the basis of the program, besides the knowledge they have acquired pertaining to utilization of the money.

Among the beneficiaries of the program, Ms. Furtuna Haile indicated that she has attained remarkable level of investment. Likewise, Ms. Fatina Abdalla Mohammed explained that she could support her family through animal farming.

Pointing out that the Union also plays advisory role as regards the utilization of loan, Ms. Senait Tekle, head of finance at the NUEW regional branch in Gash-Barka, said that a total of 515,000 Nakfa was extended in line with the project in Goluj sub-zone which has 115 beneficiaries.
