President Isaias expresses satisfaction with activities of 5th National Youth Festival

President Isaias Afwerki expressed satisfaction with the activities of the 5th National Youth Festival that was conducted in Sawa from 13 to 15 July in which more than 30,000 youths from inside the country and abroad participated. He made the statement during an event organized on July 19 at the Hall of Asmara City Municipality in honor of institutions and individuals who made significant contribution to the event. Asmara, 20 July 2012 – President Isaias Afwerki expressed satisfaction with the activities of the 5th National Youth Festival that was conducted in Sawa from 13 to 15 July in which more than 30,000 youths from inside the country and abroad participated. He made the statement during an event organized on July 19 at the Hall of Asmara City Municipality in honor of institutions and individuals who made significant contribution to the event.

Mr. Sultan Seid, Chairman of the National Union of Eritrean Youths and Students, praised artists and various institutions, as well as youths from inside the country and the Diaspora for demonstrating dedication in making the event vibrant.

Several private organizations, ministries and individuals received certificate of merit on the occasion. A Ugandan cultural troupe accompanied by Eritrean artists added color to the event.
