Effective utilization of social service facilities being witnessed in Aget Administrative area

The inhabitants of Aget Administrative area, Afabet sub-zone, indicated that they could effectively utilize the available social service facilities in line with enhanced community-based style of living. Pointing out that they have become beneficiaries of education, potable water supply and other facilities, the inhabitants voiced conviction that living as a community has significantly improved their livelihood. Afabet, 21 July 2012 – The inhabitants of Aget Administrative area, Afabet sub-zone, indicated that they could effectively utilize the available social service facilities in line with enhanced community-based style of living. Pointing out that they have become beneficiaries of education, potable water supply and other facilities, the inhabitants voiced conviction that living as a community has significantly improved their livelihood.

Mr. Ibrahim Haji Humed and Mr. Saleh Ali said that they would exert endeavors in promoting such lifestyle in the locality. Mr. Ahmed Mohammed explained that they used to travel for more than 5 hours to fetch water, and that they are presently enjoying potable water in the center of the locality where a school has also been built.

Explaining that effective community sensitization activities had already been accomplished in the area as regards facilitating community-based style of living, Mr. Mohammed Humed, Administrator of Aget Administrative area, explained that an increasing trend of student registration was noted over the past 3 years. He further indicated that adult education program has also been implemented in the locality.
