Fruit and vegetable farmers in Dige sub-zone extended more than 87,000 Nakfa in support of families of martyrs in the locality. Dige, 23 July 2012 – Fruit and vegetable farmers in Dige sub-zone extended more than 87,000 Nakfa in support of families of martyrs in the locality.
Mr. Suleman Mohammed, head of social services in the Sub-zonal administration, indicated that the farmers have regularly been extending such support to families of fallen heroes, and that the latest support has been allocated to 47 families.
The beneficiary families voiced satisfaction with the support being extended to them by the Government and citizens. Pointing out that such types of support have helped them considerably improve their livelihood, Mr. Figeri Osman and Ms. Fatina Mohammed said that this support is timely in connection with the rain-fed farming activities.
Mr. Ali Omar, one of the farmers, explained that supporting families of fallen heroes is the responsibility of every citizen, and that they would continue backing the families.
