Keren, 24 July 2012 – The Education Ministry’s branch in Anseba region stated that participants of the SWP engaged in various development undertakings in 45 stations are demonstrating impressive performance.
Mr. Kifle Solomon from the branch office indicated that the students are carrying out afforestation, as well as soil and water conservation activities, besides the renovation of roads and construction of school fences. He further lauded their active participation in the program.
Among the participants, Teklit Girmai and Awet Samuel voiced conviction that the SW is a good basis to nurture spirit of work and for the exchange of experience among students, and expressed satisfaction with having taken part in the program.
Noticing the flourishing of tree seedlings that were previously planted through participants of the program, Liwam Teklebirhan explained that it is playing vital role as regards environmental preservation.
More than 4,660 students, 81 coordinators and 79 agriculture experts are believed to be taking part in the SWP in Anseba region.
