The Eritrean National War-disabled Veterans Association (ENWVA) said that a total of 1,148 members are in a position to improve their livelihood upon the rehabilitation program based on plant production and animal farming.
Asmara, 26 July 2012 – The Eritrean National War-disabled Veterans Association (ENWVA) said that a total of 1,148 members are in a position to improve their livelihood upon the rehabilitation program based on plant production and animal farming.
Mr. Gebrebirhan Eyasu, chairman of the Association, indicated that it has been extending various supports to members vis-à-vis contributions by citizens inside the country and abroad, and that members in all the administrative regions are witnessing significant improvement in their livelihood. Moreover, more than 68% of Association members have become beneficiaries of wide-ranging training, besides the attendance of 62% members in adult education, he added.
Mr. Gebrebirhan went on to say that the ENWVA branch offices in the European countries of Norway, Sweden, Holland and Germany, as well as the US city of Oakland have been extending 70% and 50% financial support to
Association members seeking medical service inside the country and abroad respectively. He further pointed out that wheelchairs provided by the Association’s branch in Sweden are being distributed to members in all regional Administrations.
