Public toilet put in place in Ginda town

Public toilet has been put in place in Ginda town at an expenditure of 1.5 million in line with the ongoing endeavors towards ensuring environmental hygiene, and thereby reducing morbidity from communicable diseases. It comprises 6 restrooms and 6 bathrooms, besides well-established sewage and water pipe lines, as well as electricity supply. Ginda, 30 July 2012 – Public toilet has been put in place in Ginda town at an expenditure of 1.5 million in line with the ongoing endeavors towards ensuring environmental hygiene, and thereby reducing morbidity from communicable diseases. It comprises 6 restrooms and 6 bathrooms, besides well-established sewage and water pipe lines, as well as electricity supply.

Ms. Amna Haj, Administrator of Ginda sub-zone, explained that the putting in place of such toilet is significant in the town as it constitutes a relaxation passenger terminal along the Asmara-Massawa route.

Among the residents of the town, Ms. Genet Teklegiorgis and Ms. Fatina Saleh voiced conviction that the availability of such toilet along with community sensitization activities targeting communicable diseases would remarkably promote community health. She further stated that they would make judicious use of the facility.
