Adi-Quala sub-zone: 20 wives of martyrs obtain training in handicrafts

A total of 20 wives of fallen heroes obtained training in Adi-Quala sub-zone regarding handicrafts. Adi-Quala, 2 August 2012 – A total of 20 wives of fallen heroes obtained training in Adi-Quala sub-zone regarding handicrafts.

Ms. Kidusan Mebrahtom, head of the NUEW’s branch in the sub-zone, explained that the training course was conducted with a view to ensuring a basis for the women upon which they can improve their livelihood, and called on the beneficiaries of the training to make use of the opportunity effectively.

Ms. Aberash Habtai, head of social services in the Association’s branch in the Southern region, called on the beneficiaries of the training to make good use of income-generating activities through applying the knowledge they have acquired.

Among the beneficiaries, Ms. Elham Ahmed and Ms. Tsega Berhe expressed appreciation for the opportunity accorded them, and said that it would be a stepping stone to improvement of their livelihood.
