Reports indicated that potable water supply in Tesenei city has been upgraded at Government expenditure of 114 million Nakfa. It further indicated that the project includes extension of water pipes to households and a number of distribution stations.
Tesenei, 2 August 2012 – Reports indicated that potable water supply in Tesenei city has been upgraded at Government expenditure of 114 million Nakfa. It further indicated that the project includes extension of water pipes to households and a number of distribution stations.
Among the residents, Mr. Girmai Gebreyesus, Ms. Medhin Tewolde and Mr. Mohammed-Nor Ferej expressed satisfaction with such development accomplishment, and said that they are in a position of saving energy and money.
Mr. Osman Hasen, head of water development in Tesenei sub-zone, pointed out that water pipes have been distributed to a total of 253 residential households, 150 institutions and 64 water distribution stations in collaboration with Segen Construction Company, and that the city is enjoying ample potable water supply.
Pointing out that Tesenei city possesses sufficient underground water resource as it is situated along Gash River, Mr. Teklebirhan Gebrewold, Administrator of Tesenei sub-zone, said that the achievement would significantly have an impact in facilitating the city’s development.
