Asmara, 9 August 2012 – The Eritrean community members in Canada conducted festival with patriotic zeal from 4 to 6 August in Toronto City.
Reports indicated that the festival in which Eritreans from the US and friends of Eritrea featured cultural and sports activities, exhibition camps as well as different seminars, besides programs focusing on children and youths.
In a seminar he conducted with the participants of the festival, Mr. Zemhret Yohanes, Head of Research and Documentation at the PFDJ, gave extensive briefings as regards the objective situation and development accomplishments in the Homeland vis-à-vis regional and global developments. The participants of the seminar on their part voiced readiness to demonstrate staunch resistance against anti-Eritrea agendas and back up the nation’s development drive.
Participants who won contests and those who demonstrated active participation in organizing the event received prizes and certificates of merit, and Walta Cultural Troupe, accompanied by youth artists from Toronto, added fervor to the festival.
