Remarkable soil and water conservation activities have been accomplished in Leaiten village, Ginda sub-zone, in line with the SWP. Ginda, 14 August 2012 – Remarkable soil and water conservation activities have been accomplished in Leaiten village, Ginda sub-zone, in line with the SWP.
Among the participants, Abdalla Mohammed-Omar and Jemila Ibrahim voiced moral satisfaction with having taken in the undertaking, and said that such exposure is vital in nurturing the norm of work, in addition to the basis it provides for exchange of mutual experience. Mahmoud Ibrahim and Meryem Omar on their part expressed readiness to sustain participation in endeavors towards ensuring national food security.
Mr. Abdalla Saleh, among the coordinators of the undertaking, said that the SWP is crucial in nurturing the values of education and work in an integrated and pragmatic manner while promoting development accomplishments, as well as preservation of the environment. He further explained that the undertaking in Leaiten involved the digging of holes for tree seedlings, follow-up of previously planted tree seedlings, renovation of dirt roads and assisting needy families through labor, besides soil and water conservation activities.
