Keren, 15 August 2012- As part of ensuring social justice the two schools built in Keren by Debwin Construction Company are ready for providing services in the 2012/2013 school year, Mr. Fikadu Gebrehiwot, head of Keren education office, expressed.
He said that already teachers are assigned to the two schools built in numbers two and five administrative areas and called on the beneficiaries to reinforce participation in their development as that observed during construction.
He further indicated that the construction of these additional schools would alleviate the shortage of class rooms and contribute in the teaching and learning process.
Mr. Teklemichael Gebremedhin, director of Keren High School, expressed that the construction of the schools is a vivid demonstration for the huge investment being made on education.
From the inhabitants Mr. Bekit Gubtan explained that the construction of the schools is a testimony for the effort by the Government to ensure social justice.
Ms. Hagosa Daniel on her part said that the equal distribution of schools is tantamount for improvement of participation of students and especially that of women and commended the all round effort of the Government.
The junior high school built in number two administrative area comprises 24 class rooms, computer center, as well as latrine. And the high school built in number five administrative area 36 class rooms, computer center, library, laboratory as well as latrine.
