58 civil servants obtain bachelors and masters degrees on the basis of distance learning

A total of 58 civil servants who have been attending  distance learning education courses that was organized through the collaboration of the Eritrean Ministry of Education and Euclid University graduated today with diploma, as well as Bachelor and Masters degrees. Out of the graduates, 26 are Masters holders, while the Degree and diploma holders constitute 27 and 5 respectively.

Asmara, 16 August 2012 – A total of 58 civil servants who have been attending  distance learning education courses that was organized through the collaboration of the Eritrean Ministry of Education and Euclid University graduated today with diploma, as well as Bachelor and Masters degrees. Out of the graduates, 26 are Masters holders, while the Degree and diploma holders constitute 27 and 5 respectively.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Mr. Semere Rusom, Minister of Education, congratulated the graduates for making their dream come true by challenging family responsibility and career tasks vis-à-vis their studies, and called on them to translate into deeds the knowledge they have acquired in their respective careers for it is vital in reinforcing the country’s educational system.

Mr. Chad D’Amore, Representative of Euclid University, indicated that the objective of the distance learning program is pertinent to reinforcing Eritrean development through building human capacity.

Mr. Rafael Comenge, General Director of B&S Europe, lauded the graduates’ spirit of hard work and academic accomplishment.

Ms. Wongelawit Asrat, representative of the graduating class, commended the Government for creating such opportunity, and said that they would step up participation in endeavors towards nurturing an educated society.
