The Association of Tourism Institutions in Anseba region held its 3rd regular meeting on August 13 in Keren city. The participants of the meeting held discussion on the report presented and the Association’s constitution proposal while putting forth views regarding the opening of an office in Keren, as well as the effective collection and evaluation of remunerations, among others. Keren, 17 August 2012 – The Association of Tourism Institutions in Anseba region held its 3rd regular meeting on August 13 in Keren city. The participants of the meeting held discussion on the report presented and the Association’s constitution proposal while putting forth views regarding the opening of an office in Keren, as well as the effective collection and evaluation of remunerations, among others.
The meeting further noted that 405 out of the total 700 member institutions are limited to Keren city and the towns of Hagaz, Elabered, and Adi-Tekelezan urban center, and that the Association’s future undertaking would focus on enhancing the distribution of members in the remaining sub-zones.
Mr. Solomon Abraha, chairman of the National Association of Tourism Institutions, called on member institutions to step up endeavors towards fostering quality service and hospitality.
Pointing out that the Association paves the ground for various advantages to member institutions, Mr. Dawit Kibreab, chairman of the Association’s branch office in Anseba region, expressed the Ministry of Tourism’s readiness to collaborate with the Association.
