The National Holidays Coordinating Committee in the Central region stated that around 30 production companies would take part in this year’s Festival due to take place in the capital from 25 August to September 2. Accordingly, the festival would feature trade fairs pertinent to textiles, leather, as well as wood and metal products, besides handcraft and mining products.
Asmara, 18 August 2012 – The National Holidays Coordinating Committee in the Central region stated that around 30 production companies would take part in this year’s Festival due to take place in the capital from 25 August to September 2. Accordingly, the festival would feature trade fairs pertinent to textiles, leather, as well as wood and metal products, besides handcraft and mining products.
Pointing out that the companies would also display the process of production, Ms. Tek’a Tesfamichael, member of the committee, explained that the event can thus be of considerable importance to students and youths. She further indicated that better accommodations have been reserved for various shows, in addition to the major focus made on the display of handcrafts.
Reports indicate that more than 40 businesses would render service during the 10-day festival.
