A number of organizing groups from the Administrative areas in the Central region indicated that this year’s Festival would provide a basis for all-round youth participation. Asmara, 20 August 2012 – A number of organizing groups from the Administrative areas in the Central region indicated that this year’s Festival would provide a basis for all-round youth participation.

Ms. Selam Libanos, Mr. Omar Saleh and Ms. Elsa Woldegabir explained that endeavors are being exerted by the Area administrations in the region with a view to enhancing youth participation in cultural and creative works, as well as other activities. They further pointed out that youths have made ample preparation to depict resources of the region along with the lifestyle of the inhabitants.

Mr. Samson Zere from the Central region’s economic development department disclosed that various exhibition materials have been prepared to portray the accomplishments registered in the region over the past 21 years in the domains of tourism, agriculture and potable water supply, among others.

Mr. Kelifa Nurhusein, member of the coordinating committee, said that the local inhabitants, government institutions and national associations have finalized preparations for the Festival.
