Central region: Significant development accomplishments registered through SWP

The Education Ministry’s branch in the Central region disclosed that significant development accomplishments have been registered through the current SWP which was described to be organized with further focus regarding the number of participants and integration.

Asmara, 22 August 2012 – The Education Ministry’s branch in the Central region disclosed that significant development accomplishments have been registered through the current SWP which was described to be organized with further focus regarding the number of participants and integration.

Mr. Abraham Berhe, head of SWP in the region, indicated that a total of 13,520 participants are engaged in soil and water conservation, afforestation, environmental hygiene, as well as promotion of traffic safety, TV tax collection, archives clearing and renovation of school desks in 54 stations.

Among the participants, Nabait Eyob, Temesgen Tedros and Ariam Mulugeta expressed satisfaction with taking part in the undertaking that provides an important basis for work exposure and exchange of experience. They further called on the inhabitants to extend a helping hand as regards follow-up of the planted tree seedlings.

Ms. Tsehainesh Gebreab and Mr. Mihretab Misgina said that the participants demonstrated active participation in the process.
