Asmara, 25 August 2012 – The Association of Agriculture Professionals said that it is exerting endeavors towards the realization of ensuring food security at national level through the efforts underway as regards human resource development, compiling valuable research-based data and paving conducive environment for exchange of experience.
Dr. Ogbaselasie Woldesilasie, chairman of the Association, indicated that it has been conducting a variety of seminars and preparing publications with a view to enhancing agricultural production, besides its experience in agricultural extension works. Pointing out that the agriculture sector demands up-to-date expertise and relentless effort, he called on professionals to apply their competence, and thus step up participation in national development programs.
Founded in 1994, the Association of Agriculture Professionals has 280 members from governmental and non-governmental institutions inside the country and abroad.
