Haikota sub-zone: Inhabitants express satisfaction with service provided by community magistrates

The inhabitants of Haikota sub-zone expressed satisfaction with the service provided by community magistrates.

Haikota, 28 August 2012 – The inhabitants of Haikota sub-zone expressed satisfaction with the service provided by community magistrates.

Among the elders, Mr. Adala Arei Seid and Mr. Adem Abdalla indicated that they used to obtain legal service outside the locality, and that they are presently in a position to save time and energy in line with the setup of community magistrates. Ms. Fatina Kerar, one of the inhabitants, equally voiced satisfaction with the service being rendered by such institutions.

Mr. Ogbai Gebreyesus, a Judge in the sub-zone, pointed out that community magistrates in the locality have dealt with around 60 cases over the past 6 months, 22 of which have already been settled while the number of cases being addressed and those postponed constitute 30 and 8 respectively.
