Logo-Anseba sub-zone witnessing commendable rain-fed farming activity

The Agriculture Ministry’s branch in Logo-Anseba sub-zone indicated that commendable rain-fed farming activities are being carried out in the locality in line with the timely and adequate rain showers.

Asmara, 29 August 2012 – The Agriculture Ministry’s branch in Logo-Anseba sub-zone indicated that commendable rain-fed farming activities are being carried out in the locality in line with the timely and adequate rain showers.

Ms. Elsa Ristom, head of the branch office, pointed out that a variety of crops cultivated there exist in good state along with the livestock, and that the Ministry has made ample reserve of pesticides.

Mr. Mengis Habtemariam, irrigation farmer in Adi-Niamn village, voiced satisfaction with the amount of rainfall registered in the area.
