Contests in Central region Festival basis for reflecting potential among nationals, Say Participants
A number of participants said that the various contests underway in the Central region Festival are adequately reflecting the diverse potential of nationals.
Asmara, 30 August 2012 – A number of participants said that the various contests underway in the Central region Festival are adequately reflecting the diverse potential of nationals.
Armana Gebretinsae and Yonas Gebrekidan, students who took part in the painting contest, explained that the festival provides a basis to reveal individual capacity and exchange experience with colleagues. Pointing out that the contest was organized in accordance with education level, Mr. Yacob Abraha, coordinator of art contest in the festival, voiced appreciation for the knowledge and experience the painters have acquired.
Among the participants of oratory contest, Mr. Michael Hagos and Mr. Humed Ali Genjer indicated that such opportunity is important in identifying one’s level of competence, besides the ground it paves for building self-confidence. They also called on the pertinent bodies to organize such contests regularly.
Mr. Kiflom Michael, coordinator of oratory contest in the festival, stated that the contest was organized with a view to nurturing dynamic youth orators.
