A cultural show was staged yesterday at the Expo grounds in connection with the 51st anniversary of the launching of armed struggle for independence.
Asmara, 1 September 2012 – A cultural show was staged yesterday at the Expo grounds in connection with the 51st anniversary of the launching of armed struggle for independence. The show that was conducted in the presence of Government and PFDJ officials, as well as nationals residing inside the country and abroad featured various artistic performances portraying the all-round sacrifice paid by the freedom fighters and the Eritrean people as a whole.
Meanwhile, in a statement it issued in connection with the momentous Day, the PFDJ underlined that September 1 is the symbol of struggle, demonstration of the steadfastness and ensuing victory. It further pointed out that the Eritrean people emerged victorious over those quarters that committed gross injustice and acts of oppression thanks to the just cause of the people’s struggle and clearly set objective, as well as dedicated leadership. The statement further underscored that these assets would as ever enable the Eritrean people to lay bare the current acts of conspiracy against the nation,
