Tserona, 7 September 2012 – The residents of Tserona semi-urban center said that the marketplace there is witnessing growing business activities in line with the expanding agricultural and other activities in the area.
Among the residents, Ms. Measho Negash, Ms. Fatina Ismael and Salha Ahmed indicated that major agricultural products of the area comprise vegetables, cereals, dairy and livestock, among others, and that the availability of commendable transport facility within the area is playing significant role in reinforcing small-scale business activities. They further called on the pertinent bodies to upgrade the market place so as to ensure better accommodation for the weekly fervent business activities.
Reports indicate that extensive rain-fed and irrigation farming, as well as meat, dairy and apiculture production in Tserona sub-zone ensure sizeable supply to different markets.
