Stating that they used to waste considerable time and energy upon fetching water from vicinity areas, they lauded the Government’s commitment in ensuring sustainable rural area development. Hagaz, 10 September 2012 – The inhabitants of Ad-Omar Administrative area, Hagaz sub-zone, expressed satisfaction with potable water supply. Stating that they used to waste considerable time and energy upon fetching water from vicinity areas, they lauded the Government’s commitment in ensuring sustainable rural area development.
Among the inhabitants, Sheikh Mohammed Faid Mohammed, Mr. Teklehaimanot Habte and Mr. Ibrahim Mohammed Ibrahim voiced conviction that their livelihood has visibly changed in line with the availability of such facility, and that women and children are in a position to have ample time as regards daily activities.
Mr. Mohammed Hamd Mohammed, supervisor of water facility in Oblet village, indicated that they have been exerting community sensitization efforts towards raising community awareness regarding the use of such facility, and called on the local inhabitants to sustain its prudent utilization.
Mr. Mohammed Mohammed-Ibrahim from the Area Administration stated that preventive maintenance service is provided regarding to the facilities, and commended the inhabitants for judiciously utilizing them and making due report in case of malfunction.
