Inhabitants of Rehaita called upon to enhance participation in conservation of relics

Mr. Ali Mahmoud, the Administrator of the Southern Red Sea region, called on the inhabitants of Rehaita to enhance participation in conservation of relics. The Administration made the call at a meeting conducted with community representatives, during which note was made of the historical importance of the locality. Mr. Ali further called on the local inhabitants to emulate the exemplary role of the Sultan of Rahaita as regards afforestation. We need to consider trees as relics that can be bequeathed to future generations, Abdulkhadir Dawoud, the Sultan of Rahaita, on his part underscored.

Among the inhabitants, Ms. Fatima Ibrahim and Momina Mohammed expressed satisfaction with the availability of social service facilities.

Rahaita, one of the 10 Area administration centers in Southern Denkalia sub-zone, is located around 70 Km. South-east of the port city of Assab.
