The Eritrean community members in Australia and New Zealand voiced readiness to support families of fallen heroes. They made the pledge at a meeting they conducted recently.

Asmara, 13 September 2012 – The Eritrean community members in Australia and New Zealand voiced readiness to support families of fallen heroes. They made the pledge at a meeting they conducted recently.

It was noted during the meeting that 85% of the community members have been extending support to families of martyrs on regular basis, while 40 others have currently taken similar initiative. The community members voiced conviction that participation of youths in such initiative of honoring the trust of fallen heroes attests to the fact that they have kept intact the national values.

Mr. Beshir Idris-Nur, the Eritrean Consul General in Australia and New Zealand, gave extensive briefing regarding the objective situation in the Homeland and the Horn region.

The participants of the meeting expressed appreciation to the all-round development accomplishments being registered in the Homeland through joint venture by the people and the government, and said that they would enhance participation in the national development drive.
