Mr. Abraham Tekle, head of supervision and quality control in the Ministry, expressed that in order to students develop the necessary knowledge and skills they need ample school time and that in order to alleviate the delay of the school commencement, that has been witnessed in the past, the Ministry of Education has finalized the necessary preparations.
Asmara, 16 Sunday 2012- Mr. Abraham Tekle, head of supervision and quality control in the Ministry, expressed that in order to students develop the necessary knowledge and skills they need ample school time and that in order to alleviate the delay of the school commencement, that has been witnessed in the past, the Ministry of Education has finalized the necessary preparations.
He said that the delay has been negatively affecting the performance of students and to avoid that there needs the reinforcement of administration capacity.
According to information obtained, school calendar has been distributed to all schools in the months of May and June so that students, teachers, parents and administrations would be aware on the date of schools commencement. New teachers have also assigned and the summer training programs have been finalized before August 15.
Mr. Abraham further indicated that in accordance with the school calendar the registration of students and school materials distribution began on 12 September and formal education will commence on 17 September.
