Northern Red Sea regional Administration organizes training course for water project technicians

The Administration of the Northern Red Sea region organized a training course for 30 water project technicians working in 8 sub-zones with a view to upgrading their technical capability regarding maintenance. Massawa, 20 September 2012 – The Administration of the Northern Red Sea region organized a training course for 30 water project technicians working in 8 sub-zones with a view to upgrading their technical capability regarding maintenance. The training that comprised theoretical and practical aspects dealt with the assembling of solar power, besides the lodge and maintenance of generators as well as hand pumps.

Mr. Yemane Negash from the Water Department and Mr. Ahmed Adem, General Technique expert in the region, explained that the training also involved an emphasis on the precaution procedures required to this end, and lauded the trainees’ active participation.

Mr. Wolderufael Teklai, head of human resource development in the regional Administration, called on the beneficiaries of the training to translate into deeds the knowledge they have acquired.

Among the beneficiaries of the training, Ahmed Omar, Rezene Zewal and Abdalla Ibrahim voiced conviction that the training is crucial in adequately equipping them in their profession, and said that they would serve the people with dedication.
