Southern Red Sea region: Youths called upon to strengthen participation in national development drive

The NUEY branch in the Southern Red Sea region called on members to step up participation in the national development drive. It made the call at its annual meeting conducted in the port city of Assab. Assab, 21 September 2012 – The NUEY branch in the Southern Red Sea region called on members to step up participation in the national development drive. It made the call at its annual meeting conducted in the port city of Assab.

The meeting noted that significant accomplishment was registered as regards nurturing the culture of reading on the basis of book clubs and enhancing female participation in various activities, besides the efforts made towards raising the production capacity of workers and students, as well as strengthening organizational impact.

Mr. Azazi Bereketeab, chairman of the NUEY branch in the region, said that future undertaking of the Association would focus on the building of a youth center and renovation of the cinema in Assab city.
