In Eritrea’s Calendar

21 September 1952 witnessed the first issue of a newspaper “Dehai Eritrea”. The period of during the British protectorate of Eritrea and at a time in which different political parties were being established. Hence the newspaper was a forum for political debates and exposing the ill intentions of the British administration of its intentions to divide and rule the Eritrean people. The veteran Woldeab Woldemariam was one of the main actors contributing powerful articles and editorials.
