Keren, 22 September 2012 – A number of customers said that commendable postal service is being rendered in Anseba region pertaining to registered and nonregistered mail, parcel, as well as money transfer. They indicated that such effective service could be rendered thanks to the initiative taken by the Post Office to further strengthen sub-zone-based services.
Among the inhabitants, Ms. Dehab Tewoldebirhan, Mr. Abdulrihim Musa and Mr. Eyob Girmai voiced appreciation for the postal service in the region.
Mr. Tewolde Gebresilasie, head of the regional Post Office, pointed out that it has opened offices in Hagaz and Hamelmalo sub-zones, besides the availability of courier service to and fro the semi-urban centers of Adi-Tekelezan and Elabered.
The Post Office in Keren city that was launched with 100 boxes in the days of colonial rule, presently rents 1,036 boxes, according to reports.
