Farmers in Golij sub-zone exerting efforts to collect bumper harvest

The farmers in Golij sub-zone expressed that they are exerting efforts to collect bumper harvest and that currently are engaged in weeding activities.

Golij, 23 September 2012- The farmers in Golij sub-zone expressed that they are exerting efforts to collect bumper harvest and that currently are engaged in weeding activities.

They further indicated that the rainy season which began in July had been commendable and that corps are in good condition.

Mr. Mohammed-Ali Idris, resident of Sabunait, explained that farmers should take weeding their plots of land seriously for lack of that could harm crops and reduce production.

Mr. Teklu Woldeyesus, resident of Golij, on his part said that because he weeded his land his crops are in good condition and reminded others to do the same.

Likewise, Mr. Husein Diablu, resident of Shagla, explained that they fully exploited the opportunity they find and are expecting bumper harvest.

Mr. Redi’e Bahlibi, head of economic affairs in the sub-zone, noted that for the farmers exerted strong efforts crops in the sub-zone are in good condition.
