Health Center in Hamelmalo sub-zone rendering commendable service

The inhabitants of Hamelmalo sub-zone said that the health center in the locality is rendering commendable service. They further indicated that the center has been witnessing development as regards professional capacity and facility over the past 4 years, and thus playing significant role in ensuring community health. Hamelmalo, 24 September 2012 – The inhabitants of Hamelmalo sub-zone said that the health center in the locality is rendering commendable service. They further indicated that the center has been witnessing development as regards professional capacity and facility over the past 4 years, and thus playing significant role in ensuring community health.

Among the inhabitants, Ms. Rekia Omar Sheikh-Ali, Ms. Daret Jemil and Mr. Mohammed-Seid Mahmud voiced satisfaction with the service being rendered by the health center, including community sensitization.

Stating that the community’s awareness pertaining to utilization of health facilities is on the rise, Sister Hana Negasi explained that the center provides first aid, in-patient, maternity, VCT and immunization services, besides the seminars it organizes to raise community awareness on various health issues.

Reports indicate that the health center in Hamelmalo sub-zone serves the villages of Feledareb, Ajerbeb, Hangol, Fisorukh, Sanqa, Dengurjiba, Musha, Besekdira and Ferhie.
