Members of the Eritrean National War-disabled Veterans Association (ENWVA) in Tesenei sub-zone said that they are in a position to look for bumper harvest on the basis of Tesenei-Ali-Gidir Integrated Agricultural Project. Tesenei, 25 September 2012 – Members of the Eritrean National War-disabled Veterans Association (ENWVA) in Tesenei sub-zone said that they are in a position to look for bumper harvest on the basis of Tesenei-Ali-Gidir Integrated Agricultural Project. They further explained that such integrated mode of farming has provided impetus to agricultural output in the area.
Among the Association members, Mr. Mohammed Mohammed-Ali, Ms. Hawa Mohammed, Mr. Rezene Ogbamichael and Mr. Ogbazi Tekle voiced satisfaction with becoming beneficiaries of the opportunity accorded them through the collaboration between the ENWVA and the project administration.
Mr. Mohammed-Nur Ali-Seid, head of the ENWVA branch in Tesenei sub-zone, said that 60 Association members have already become beneficiaries of the project, while another 30 are engaged in rain-fed farming based on the support extended to them by the sub-zonal Administration.
Mr. Yemane Gebretinsae, the project manager, said that the ENWVA members are carrying out farming on a total of 86 hectares in which the necessary infrastructure has been put in place. He further lauded the spirit of hard work they have demonstrated.
