Ministry organizes training course for needy women

The Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare has organized a training course for 60 breadwinning women as regards cloth design and tailoring, as well as embroidery. The beneficiaries of the training at Asmara Community Center are due to enhance income generating capacity on the basis of the opportunity accorded them.

Asmara, 25 September 2012 – The Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare has organized a training course for 60 breadwinning women as regards cloth design and tailoring, as well as embroidery. The beneficiaries of the training at Asmara Community Center are due to enhance income generating capacity on the basis of the opportunity accorded them.

Ms. Jim’a Mohammed-Nur, head of Asmara Community Center, pointed out that women who received similar training are in a position of improving their livelihood, and that such developments attest to the impact of rehabilitation programs. Moreover, she indicated that 29 out of the beneficiaries specialized in machine-based embroidery and handcrafting, while the rest were trained in cloth design and tailoring.

Stating that the center would introduce a training course pertaining to cooking, Ms. Jim’a called on the beneficiaries to aspire for improvement of livelihood based on such an opportunity.

Among the beneficiaries, Amani Al-Amin Idris lauded the dedication of the resource persons, and said that they would work hard to improve their livelihood.
