Molqi, 29 September 2012 – A number of Molqi sub-zone inhabitants have become beneficiaries of social service facilities upon lead to community-based style of living. Pointing out that they began living in scattered households in mountainous areas for security reason during the colonial days, they explained that they are presently in a position to enjoy educational, health, potable water supply, transport and other facilities along with the warm community environment.
Among the inhabitants, Ms. Tsigeweini Tesfazgi, Ms. Fiesta Measho and Mr. Gide Ogbazgi voiced conviction that their livelihood has significantly improved in line with the availability of different facilities.
Mr. Kidane Woldesilasie, Administrator of the sub-zone, disclosed that the community has constituted a new Administrative area known as Gonai-Sagla, and that they have become exemplary to those still leading scattered pattern of living, the rehabilitation of whom as a community is expected by the end of the year.
