Keren, 30 September 2012- Regrouping of remote villages has significant contribution for the success of the efforts being exerted to improve the livelihood of citizens, Mr. Gergis Girmai, Administrator of Anssaba region, expressed during a meeting he conducted with inhabitants of Geleb sub-zone.
He indicated that the regional administration is currently working to ensure the distribution of educational and health facilities, provision of potable water, electricity power supply, transportation, telecommunications and other services.
He reiterated that the provision of 24 hours of electricity power supply and upgrading the health center into community hospital are projects that would be implemented in Geleb sub-zone.
He further noted that the dams being constructed in the sub-zone would have big contribution in reinforcing agricultural activities and that the transportation service from Geleb to Keren, the provision of potable water and mobile telephones have significant contribution in the development of the sub-zone.
The participants on their part expressed resolve to work for the success of the projects.
Geleb sub-zone comprises Kaluq, Mihlab, Gerbet, Gadmai, Geleb, Zien, Belta, Qiruh, Mezabat and Marat administrative areas.
