National Association of Tourism Institutions calls on members to step up endeavors

The National Association of Tourism Institutions called on members to enhance endeavors towards strengthening the sector. It made the call in connection with International Tourism Day that was commemorated at Asmara City Hall.

Asmara, 1 October 2012 – The National Association of Tourism Institutions called on members to enhance endeavors towards strengthening the sector. It made the call in connection with International Tourism Day that was commemorated at Asmara City Hall.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Solomon Abraha, chairman of the Association, noted the need to minimize expenditure and prevent environmental pollution on the basis of renewable energy, in addition to focusing on hygiene-oriented service quality.

Mr. Debesai Gebrehiwet, renewable energy expert from the Energy Department called on Association members to make effective use of professional consultation as regards implementation of renewable energy alternatives.

Mr. Abraham Belai, head of environmental health in the Health Ministry’s branch in the central sub-zone, conducted a seminar regarding control measures on imported food stuff, as well as food quality and preservation.
