Students Parents Committee members from several schools in the Central region called for the strengthening of the trilateral students, parents and teachers relations with a view to ensuring further effectiveness to the teaching-learning process. Asmara, 2 October 2012 – Students Parents Committee members from several schools in the Central region called for the strengthening of the trilateral students, parents and teachers relations with a view to ensuring further effectiveness to the teaching-learning process. The committee members expressed readiness to step up participation in endeavors to nurture exemplary students academic and discipline-wise.
Among the parents, Maj. Eyob Berhane and Mr. Habtom Tekeste explained that a joint student follow-up venture has been carried out through the participation of assigned students, teachers and parents. They disclosed that it also involves partial or full support to needy students, besides the effort to expand establishment of computer labs, internet facilities and libraries in schools.
Semira Suleiman, student representative at Red Sea Secondary School, indicated that the NUEYS works on the basis of various clubs to reinforce student academic performance, and that the Students Parents Committee members collaborate with the clubs.
Mr. Tsegai Zerizgi, teachers’ representative from the school said that teachers are exerting relentless efforts to equip students with the necessary knowledge.
