Mr. Osman Saleh, Foreign Minister, called on citizens residing abroad to effectively utilize investment opportunities in the Homeland. He made the call at a meeting he conducted with the Eritrean community members in New York City.
Asmara, 3 October 2012 – Mr. Osman Saleh, Foreign Minister, called on citizens residing abroad to effectively utilize investment opportunities in the Homeland. He made the call at a meeting he conducted with the Eritrean community members in New York City.
Pointing out that Eritrea is in a position to ensure food security on the basis of implementing extensive and integrated programs, Mr. Osman disclosed that the new investment environment in the Homeland has attracted a number of Eritrean investors. He further pointed out that the Government is enhancing endeavors towards development of partnership-oriented trade and investment relations.
Moreover, Mr. Osman underlined that Eritrea’s independent political path has drawn up attention when the world is witnessing a state of turbulence and external political interference. He further explained that the nation is stepping up endeavors to strengthen bilateral ties with countries in the region.
Also speaking at the meeting, Mr. Yemane Gebreab, Head of Political Affairs at the PFDJ, stressed the need for putting up staunch resistance against enemy quarters at a time when the nation’s development has gained momentum despite the continued hostile attempts to undermine such a stance.
