Representatives of Eritrean national associations and PFDJ in Italy voice readiness to back up national development drive

Asmara, 4 October 2012 – Representatives of the NUEYS, NUEW and PFDJ in 13 Italian cities voiced readiness to back up the national development drive. They made the pledge at an assessment meeting conducted recently.
Mr. Girmai Habtemichael, head of Eritrean community affairs in that country, presented a report as regards activities of the functions of the 3 associations, and gave briefings in this regard, on the basis of which the participants conducted extensive discussion.
Mr. Zemede Tekle, the Eritrean Ambassador to Italy, gave extensive briefings regarding the objective situation in the Homeland and the region, besides the diplomatic accomplishments of the Embassy.
Mr. Rusom Gebregiorgis, the Eritrean Consul in the city of Milan, on his part gave an account as regards future program that could reinforce the role of community members.
Members of the Eritrean Community in Italy who took part in the National Investment Conference that was conducted in August, here in the capital, made a presentation focusing on the charted investment objectives and programs vis-à-vis the role of citizens to this end.
